In the first quarter of 2025, the top social apps on the Android platform in Central America demonstrated varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

TikTok Lite - Save Data & Fast showed a decline in weekly revenue, starting at around $1K and decreasing to $404 by the end of March. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 691K in mid-January before declining to about 324K by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 6M and ending slightly lower at 5.8M.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE experienced growth in weekly revenue, rising from $418K to $484K by the end of March. Downloads also showed an upward trend, reaching a peak of 550K in mid-February. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users consistently around 41M, ending the quarter at 41.9M.

Instagram saw steady weekly revenue growth, peaking at $46K in late February. Downloads showed minor fluctuations, with a peak of 349K in mid-February. Active users remained strong, starting at 47.7M and increasing to 48.4M by the end of March.

Facebook recorded a moderate increase in weekly revenue, with a high of $39K in late February. Downloads peaked at 347K in early February, while active users remained stable, starting at 62.4M and concluding the quarter at 63M.

Facebook Lite maintained a consistent download rate, peaking at 230K in early March. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at 5.2M and ending at 4.8M.
